Raccoon Media Group has been shortlisted for this year’s Association Of Event Organizers (AEO) Excellence Awards. Snowbound Expo has been recognized and is shortlisted as a finalist for the Best International Show in America category. The awards program will celebrate and honor the excellence in the industry – it celebrates expos that have truly shined bright in the past year with innovative marketing programs, sales campaigns and commercial success. Organizers who deliver highly engaging (fun) shows or who have created/maintained a great community or culture and are finding new ways to serve and engage their audiences.
Snowbound Expo 2023 was held in partnership with Boston.com and the Snow Sports Industries of America, hosted at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Boston, MA in November 2023. It received over 36,000 ticket registrations and grew to host over 120 brands with a floorspace that doubled in a year! The expo hosted incredible guest appearances and speakers on the Inspiration stage including Olympians and athletes from across the world of running including Shaun White, Lindsey Jacobellis, Ted Ligety and more. The line-up of speakers enthralled packed theatres with the highs, lows, achievements, and failures from a life spent in the mountains. The city’s winter sport enthusiasts shopped for new gear, tech and nutrition from leading brands and found interactive features to try out during the weekend including the Mega Slope, a rail jam plus nordic walking and live painting from a winter sports artist. The event is strategically timed to gear skiers and snowboarders up for the start of the winter season and when the ski resorts open.
