Travis Rice is universally known as one of the most versatile and
accomplished snowboarders in history. In extremely rare fashion, Travis
has proven his ability, time and time again, to transcend into the
mainstream market while still maintaining his status as a legend on the
mountain. He is respected as a visionary in the sport of snowboarding.
Travis is now 40, and on top of being an amazing husband and father, he
is still winning contests, and is leaning more and more into content
production where he has been revolutionizing the way that we consume
modern day snowboarding.
With already a legendary career, Travis had a dream to continue to
progress snowboarding and to ‘leave it better than he found it’. This
dream came to life in 2019, when he launched the Natural Selection Tour,
after 10 years of working several major events that seeded the launch of
this tour such as ’The Red Bull Supernatural’.
Natural Selection Tour is the premier snowboarding event, during which
the world’s top all-mountain freestyle riders compete on natural and
naturally enhanced terrain for the titles of men’s and women’s champion.
Unfolding across an initial Duels stage, where snowboarders battle it out
head-to-head across Switzerland, Colorado, British Columbia and Japan,
the competition thereafter moves onto the Revelstoke area in British
Columbia for two major head-to-head competition days.
Natural Selection is now expanding into Mountain Biking, Surfing
and Skiing and will host the premier events in Adventure Sport moving
forward.
