One of the most anticipated features of Snowbound Expo 2026 just got even more exciting. Rail Jam applications are now open, and we are looking for the East Coast’s best skiers and snowboarders to come and prove themselves on the show floor at Mohegan Sun this November.
What Is the Rail Jam?
The Snowbound Expo Rail Jam is a full-blown indoor freestyle competition held on a purpose-built course right on the show floor at Mohegan Sun. The course features a flat rail and a flat box, set up one at a time with a single drop-in, giving competitors the chance to showcase slides, spins and freestyle tricks in front of a live crowd of thousands of winter sports fans.
The format is jam-style, meaning competitors take repeated runs throughout their session rather than a single scored run each. This keeps the energy high, the action continuous and the crowd engaged from start to finish. Experienced, qualified judges will evaluate performances throughout each session, with awards presented shortly after.
The Sessions
There are four competition classes, split across two sessions on Saturday November 14th at Mohegan Sun.
Skiing — Saturday 12:00pm to 2:00pm
Men’s skiing and women’s skiing
Snowboarding — Saturday 3:00pm to 5:00pm
Men’s snowboarding and women’s snowboarding
The Prize
Winners will take home an Ikon Pass or equivalent, one of the most coveted prizes in snow sports, covering 60+ world-class destinations across North America and beyond. Final prize details will be confirmed and communicated to all registered riders ahead of the event.
