Founded in the 1970s, the UConn Ski Team has men's and women's teams competing in the MacConnell Division of the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA). Led by coach and UConn alumnus Jeff Lagasse, the program has grown into a successful student-run club and regular contender at the USCSA National Championships while developing strong athletes and well-rounded young adults. Supported by Undergraduate Student Government, alumni, family, and friends, the team trains at Wildcat and Attitash Mountains during winter break and Mount Southington during the semester. Its 10-race regular season runs through February, with opportunities to advance to regional and national championships.
