All-time great and pioneer of extreme winter sports, Dan Egan to speak and offer book signings at Snowbound Expo
Slated for November 18-20, Snowbound Expo heads to Boston Hynes Convention Center

Considered as the most influential skier of all time, Dan Egan joins the incredible speaker line-up for Snowbound Expo in his hometown, Boston.  Previously known as the Boston Ski & Snow Show and now rebranded as Snowbound Expo, the show will take place November 18-20, 2022 at the Boston Hynes Convention Center as the home of winter and outdoor sports.

Dan Egan, who started skiing at the age of 10 has now appeared in thirteen Warren Miller ski films and is known for skiing the most remote regions of the world with his brother, John Egan. In 2001, he was inducted into the US Skiing & Snowboarding Hall of Fame and for good reason. Egan’s pro ski career saw him take cover in a self-made ice cave in 1990, during an expedition to Mount Elbrus, to escape a huge storm while in pursuit of the summit and. He also narrowly escaped a disaster when filming a Warren Miller film at the Grand Targhee resort in Wyoming when a cornice the size of two tour buses broke. Egan’s skiing career developed with his brother, John, known as the ‘Egan Brothers’ and were founding members of the North Face Extreme Team in the 1990s. Now celebrated as a pioneer of extreme skiing, Dan’s career has extended to producing, creating, marketing and consulting in the winter sports industry.

Dan Egan, legendary skier, will join an impressive line-up of inspirational athletes, adventurers and Olympians on stage at Snowbound Expo including North Face rock climber and American mountaineer Conrad Anker, six-time Olympian Bode Miller, athlete and storyteller Dani Reyes Acosta, Disability Access Strategist and athlete, Vasu Sojitra and more to be confirmed before being added to the full speaker list.

Egan will also be taking a booth at the show to showcase his latest book ‘Thirty Years in a White Haze’ rooted and written in Boston with book signings available all weekend. Dan will share stories from surviving a life-threatening storm on Mt Elbrus, being one of two of the Egan Brothers with tall tales of his worldwide adventure and how to find your flow with Dan’s Camps and Clinics.

Residing in Boston, Egan is certainly no stranger to the local mountains or brands joining the expo. He will speak on stage offering a raft of skills advice, inspiring stories and knowledge for the skiers and snowboarders at the show. When asked about joining the show line up, Egan said: “The Boston Ski Show is New England’s official start of winter, a mix of deals, new products, personalities, adventure and discovering what’s new at resorts around the world.  I love it and am proud to be a part of it.”

Plans for the hugely anticipated Snowbound Expo are ramping up and is set to be the biggest meet up for the ski and snowboard community since 2019. The expo is a chance for thousands of visitors to buy the latest gear, apparel, boots and tech all at discounted show prices.
