The Boston Convention & Exhibition Center buzzed with excitement last weekend as Snowbound Expo 2024 kicked off the winter season in spectacular fashion. With over 21,000 visitors in attendance and a registration of more than 30,000 tickets, this year’s expo was a resounding success, celebrating the shared passion for skiing, snowboarding, and winter sports among families, friends, and enthusiasts of all levels in New England. The weekend kicked off with IKON Passes being won at the entrance, a ‘worm dance off’ and quiz questions, plus queue giveaways for the early keen visitors.
Snowbound Expo showcased the very best of the winter sports industry, featuring over 200 brands and 48 resorts from premier winter destinations like New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts, as well as international hotspots in Japan, Chile, Canada, and Europe.
Gear Up and Dive In!
At the heart of the expo was the bustling Retail Zone, where visitors snagged discounted gear, apparel, boots, skis, boards, accessories and some outerwear too. The Official retailer Colorado Ski Shop headlined with thousands of products from leading brands, including Nordica, Blizzard, Tecnica, Fischer, Salomon, Rossignol, K2, Jones, Mammut, Arc’teryx, and many more. From boot fitting stations to unbeatable promotions, the expo was a dream destination for those looking to gear up just in time for some of the resorts to open.
Inspiring Speakers
The Inspiration Stage offered a strong speaker lineup of icons in the snow sports world, including Olympians Hannah Teter and Hannah Kearney, freestyle skiing legend Donny Pelletier, snowboard pioneer Todd Richards, and adventurer Dan Egan. Visitors also flocked to watch thrilling trampoline shows with athletes on skis and boards, visitors could try a board or skis on the indoor slope, and many immersed themselves in the cross-country ski experience.
Giving Back
In a powerful show of community spirit, the Subaru of New England booth hosted a highly successful coat drive, collecting donations for Youth Enrichment Services. Guests generously contributed winter wear, ensuring warm futures for countless young individuals this season.
Snowbound Expo 2024 was more than just a celebration of winter sports—it was a gathering of community, adventure, and inspiration. As the first resorts begin to open, the expo’s success sets the tone for an incredible winter season ahead.
