Alice Merryweather is a top-ranked American downhill skier, World Cup contender, and Olympian in one of the world’s most grueling and dangerous sports. Alice grew up in Hingham, Massachusetts, chasing her older brother around the slopes of the Northeast. For the longest time, her goals were simple: “have fun and beat the boys.” In 2020, Alice became one of the first female professional athletes in the world to vocalize her struggle with an eating disorder and treatment, garnering national and international media attention. Since then, Alice has emerged as a leader in sharing her story on mental health and body image. She has given speeches and interviews to media outlets, NCAA athletic programs, professional sports leagues, and junior sports programs. Her educated approach at tackling the most difficult conversations both in women’s sport and in life with an infectious smile makes Alice’s impact one that has the potential to truly move the needle.
Aside from skiing, Alice enjoys strumming on her ukulele, hiking, and playing board games with anyone willing to challenge her. She is a student at Dartmouth College completing her degree in government with a minor in environmental studies.
