VP Engineering and Co-Founder | Carv
Jamie is the engineering brain – and occasional crash-test dummy – behind Carv, the world’s first real-time digital ski coach. A data scientist with a background in hardware design, Jamie has led Carv’s Data Science and Hardware teams for the past decade, building the sensors and systems that bring Carv to life on snow.
Carv has grown from a tangle of wires into a polished product used by over 50,000 skiers worldwide. Jamie spent years in China developing the hardware from scratch before leading the charge to scale and refine the technology. His expertise in sensors, machine learning, and software development has powered a platform that’s now recorded over a billion ski turns.
His team has worked closely with athletes like Todd Ligare, Ted Ligety, and Anne Wangler to understand what makes great skiing great, turning those insights into tools that help every skier improve and have more fun.
Known for his drive, optimism, and a touch of “mad scientist” energy, Jamie has shaped both Carv’s technology and the spirit of its community.
