Founded in 1986 by three friends, and the holder of Brewing Permit #001 in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Harpoon Brewery is a craft brewing pioneer that is known for brewing some of New England’s favorite and most approachable beers, including Harpoon IPA, Winter Warmer, and Rec. League.  In 2014, Harpoon Brewery became an employee-owned company when 48% of the company was given to employees through the establishment of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. “Love Beer. Love Life.” is more than just a motto at Harpoon, as we feel beer is best enjoyed in the company of others, whether at our taprooms, at one of our legendary festivals, or around the firepit with friends and family. Through our charitable program, Harpoon Helps, we’ve been able to give back to the communities that have supported us for the past 37 years, and we look forward to continuing that tradition into the future.
