Plans/developments for 2024

Tremblant is proud to announce that it will be integrating RFID technology for the 2023/24 season. Alpine Canada Alpin announced that Tremblant will officially be hosting the World Cup. Station Mont Tremblant has completed all the key steps to allow the giant slalom events to take place on December 2 and 3, 2023. The widening of the Flying Mile trail and the verification of safety standards have been successfully completed. The final phase of preparations for the arrival of the World Cup has begun.

Review of season 2022/23

A record-setting 2022-23 winter season at Jackson Hole saw 595″ of snow fall. This made the 2022-23 winter the snowiest, deepest ever recorded in Rendezvous Bowl! Winter raced by, fueled by fresh flakes cascading onto our slopes and ample time sliding on snow. The “Teton trickle” felt more like a firehose at times, and the sun was most-elusive. Skiers and snowboarders rejoiced throughout the season and indulged in high-quality powder snow countless days.

This past 2022-23 winter season was one for the record books for Ragged Mountain! Early season had it’s challenges with mild temperatures and minimal natural snow, but everything changed in the latter half. March was particularly impressive with ample storms and an abundance of powder days! This all resulted in record skier visitation for Ragged Mountain.

Review of season 2022/23

Big SNOW recently finished up their 3rd year of operations offering guests year-round access to real-snow and skiing, snowboarding and sledding fun.  Big SNOW was recently recognized by the National Ski Areas association as this year’s Conversion Cup winners.  The Conversion Cup is given out annually to the North American ski area that does the most to help create new skiers and snowboarders.  Last winter Big SNOW introduced nearly 90,000 new participants to the sport and has an almost double than industry average rate of return among their guests.

22/23 Season Review

For Ikon Pass holders, the 2022/23 season was one for the history books!  Record breaking snowfall at numerous Ikon Pass destinations made for knee deep spring skiing in several states.  The snow kept falling, chair lifts kept spinning, and skiers and riders were shredding well into July! 

23/24 Season Promotion

King Pine Ski Area

22/23 Season Review

King Pine enjoyed an incredible season celebrating its 60th year of continuous operations. In addition to skiing, snowboarding, snowtubing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice-skating, King Pine hosted family fun activities, ski history presentations and special events all revolving around six decades of skiing at the Madison, New Hampshire ski resort.

Vertical Challenge

22/23 Season Review

This past season the Vertical Challenge visited the largest number of resorts since before the pandemic. We traveled to 23 different mountains and ski resorts all over the Northeast. We were able to catch up with some of our returning families and meet many new skiers along the way.

Infrastructure investments include the Barker 6, and the continued expansion of the resort’s snowmaking system.  Manufactured by Doppelmayr, the Barker 6 features ergonomically heated seats and a signature Sunday River Red bubble. It joins the impressive ranks of the Jordan 8 and Chondola as the most sophisticated of its class.

Just prior to the beginning of the 2022/23 season we returned to our original name. Pleasant Mountain—the name the ski area carried when the first trail was cut in 1938. We love celebrating the mountain and the ski area’s history, as well as marking a new beginning. Big things are happening at Pleasant Mountain.

Loon Mountain Resort

Review of season 2022/23

The 2022/23 season marked the opening of Seven Brothers Express Quad, Loon’s second lift
installation in as many years. The Doppelmayr high-speed detachable quad is a major
improvement for guests, transporting skiers and riders at up to 1,000 feet per minute,
transforming the Octagon Lodge base area.

Packed with wilderness-themed obstacles challenging kids and adults alike, Ninja Wild is the
first of its kind in the White Mountains.
Loon is home to an extensive mountain bike park with over 1,000 vertical feet and over 11
miles of terrain. All trails are accessible via the Kancamagus 8, a state-of-the-art high-speed
chairlift.

Loon’s South Peak expansion project is underway, adding 30+ acres of new terrain, a new four-place chairlift, and fully automated snowmaking. Located just off Main Street in Lincoln, NH,
South Peak’s expanded terrain will feature a variety of new trails, including both easiest and
more difficult runs, as well as tree-skiing areas.

Killington Ski resort

Killington Resort is a four-season destination sitting on 3,000 acres in the heart of Central Vermont’s Green Mountains. Review of season 2022/23

Killington Resort closed the original K-1 Lodge built in 1958 in March of 2022 and in November opened the new three-story lodge that is over fifty percent larger than the pre-existing lodge (going from 37,000 sq. ft. to 58,000 sq. ft.) and includes a full-service bar, enhanced dining, additional seating, and unobstructed 180-degree views of the beautiful Vermont mountain landscape. After a great spring loaded with events, Killington Resort once again was able to host their closing day on June 1st!

New for 2023-2024

At Killington Resort, we continue to upgrade and improve our facilities and equipment. Major investments were made in snowmaking guns and pipe replacement, grooming a new Prinoth Bison X groomer and winch to the fleet, and completed some major lift maintenance including a rebuild of the motor in the Canyon Quad.
