Following the recent release of MAX’s docu-series “Shaun White: The Last Run,” Snowbound Expo announces that iconic snowboarder and three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White will speak at this year’s event in November. White joins the well-known community meet-up event that kicks off the 2023/24 winter sports season. The expo returns November 3-5, 2023, at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.
Shaun White is a five-time Olympian and a three-time Olympic gold medalist in halfpipe snowboarding and will grace the Inspiration Stage at Snowbound Expo. Renowned as a snowboarding superstar, White has won Gold at the 2006, 2010 and 2018 Winter Olympics and has won a medal every time he has participated in the X Games from 2002 until 2013. The decorated sportsman holds the world record for the most X Games gold medals and Olympic gold medals by a snowboarder. White announced his retirement leading up to the 2022 Olympics, making the Beijing Games his last. Ahead of competing in Beijing, White fulfilled a lifelong dream by launching his own snowboard and apparel brand, Whitespace, which he rode and showcased in Beijing. The brand has expanded its offering in its second year, with new snowboards and apparel set to release for the 2023/24 season. Whitespace will be at the 2023 Snowbound Expo.
White joins some of the biggest names in the industry at Snowbound Expo where stories and experiences will inspire snow sports enthusiasts in New England. Speakers include Dan Egan (Legendary Skier), Mary Walsh (Editor of Snowboarder Magazine), Ted Ligety (American Alpine Skier), Jeremy Jones (Freestyle Snowboarder), Julia Kern (Olympic Cross-Country Skier), Steep Steep (YouTube Influencer) and many more to be confirmed.
The expo is designed to welcome snowboarders, skiers and those who love the mountains. Visitors will explore a one stop shop of the latest gear, technology, advice, and apparel from leading brands. Whitespace, the skiing and snowboarding brand owned by Shaun White will release their latest lines at the expo. In addition, brands include IKON Pass, Alterra, Deuter, Darn Tough, Fischer, Head/Tyrolia, Helly Hansen and Hestra Gloves. More include J Skis, Kulkea, Meier Skis, Nordica, Oosc Clothing, Ortovox, Parlor Skis & Snowboards, Peak Skis, Phunkshun Wear, Renoun Skis, Rollerblade, Salomon, Scarpa, Stockli, CB Sports, Neve by CKB Collection and many more listed on the website. Ski Essentials is the Official Retail Partner for this year’s expo.
Resorts include Burke Mountain, Jackson Hole, Jay Peak Vermont, Killington, Le Massif de Charlevoix, Loon Mountain Resort, Ragged Mountain Resort, Saddleback Maine, Tenney Mountain, Woodstock Inn & Resort, Wachusett Mountain Ski Area, with more announcements imminent.
However, the expo is more than just a shopping trip. Visitors will be able to spend a whole weekend at the expo trying out new activities in zones around the expo; there is something for everyone.
