Danielle Taylor is a backcountry ski guide, and recently retired from FIS alpine ski racing with Team Summit Colorado. She is a senior at Colby College majoring in biology with a minor in geology and is looking to pursue graduate studies in motor systems neuroscience. Danielle is a guide with Inclusive Ski Touring, a non-profit organization focused on getting people outside by introducing them to the joys of ski touring and split boarding. Leading mostly women’s tours allows her to offer creative, safe, fun, and intimidation-free experiences for those new to the sport. As president of the Colby Mountaineering Club, captain of the Colby USCSA Alpine Ski Team and captain of the Colby Climbing team, Danielle is very active in trying to make the outdoor community an inclusive place for all. She volunteers to teach local kids how to ski, and she implemented women’s climbing nights within her community.
